Romanticism Painting: Do a Painting that shows Emotion

I chose to deal with the homeless issue instead of sunsets. One of my first experiences in Vancouver was myself eating in a commerical pizza place and beside me is this man half way into the garabage eating all the old pizza crusts and half eaten bits for awhile.
This painitng is of a homeless man eating out of a typical Vancouver garabage turning into the racoons beside him. Its a commentary of how the homeless are turning into rodents and are forced to survive like one because of society and their choices, and when people walk by they ignore whats going on and they become invisible like the animals next to him.

Gouache Renaissance Painting Reproduction

How i started off. We had to mimic the tempra paintings and using only hatching we had to layer the gouache carefully.

Graphite Hard and Soft Objects (Any style)

Hard Object
Matchbox from berlin. I wanted to achieve a advertising appeal and used Mac ads as a reference to pull from with their  minimalist look.

Soft Object
My feather necklace. I wanted to play with mark making and using my eraser I attempted to capture its shadows, weight and positive and negaitive space. I got lost I feel half way through and could of pushed this much further.

Create a Fantasy Character. Water Colour

Sniper Hare with a german luger.

Interesting Character Watercolour And Gouache

First Inks Figure & Landscape

First try at the landscape. I struggled with the distant grouping of trees.

Second go. I handed this one in, but I liked key parts of the first one more as in the moutains and the trees in the foreground.

First go and I found the left foot awkward , the hands and nose as well. i ended up using this one.

Second try. I did not like this one at all i was trying to go on memory and style as the first but had no reference and failed. I do like her left hand alot and her nose.
